Extremely good. Light weight vs durability ?,
I consider myself a fairly decent judge of audio headphones/headsets and I must say for $30 this headset is beyond what I expected. I really expected them to be flat and be raspy. To my surprise they sound full and slightly bass heavy. They are extremely light and fit perfect on my ears and stay comfortable for 6+ hours (the longest I’ve used them so far in one sitting.) The microphone sounds clear and without distortion. I’ve gotten numerous compliments on how clear my voice sounds from switching from my old Zalman headset to this one. The only issue I have and the reason I didn’t give them a 5 is because they feel extremely light and I question how durable they will be.
Edit: March 19th 2011 I’m on my second pair of these headsets and they have held up extremely well to normal wear and tear. I use them about 8-10 hours a day now and I can throw them around and they still sound perfect. The reason I said normal wear and tear is because my first pair I had to throw away due to the headband being stretched out. I’d fall asleep with the headset on. Doing this for 5 months caused the headband to stretch out to the point where it won’t stay on my head. If it wasn’t for me sleeping with the headset on I would expect these to last 2-3 years before needing replacement.

|Good headset for a great price!,
As an online gamer, I’ve gone through countless headsets over the past several years. Most of them have had earpieces snap off (who knows how, I am never rough with my electronics) or have simply stopped working altogether one day. I played for months with a god-awful USB headset whose plug was extremely faulty and mis-sized. It would not fit snugly in the hole, and if my laptop was ever bumped in the slightest, the headset’s plug would shift just a tad, and my laptop would switch to using my speakers. This was an absolutely horrible experience, especially considering that I had blown $40 on that headset. When it became too much, I headed to both RadioShack and Walmart to seek a replacement… only to find that I had already purchased almost every single headset in their collections.
I am a very small girl, only 5′ 4″, so it is hard for me to use headsets with large earpieces. Unfortunately, this means that I am stuck with the more lightweight headsets, which are almost always of poor sound and voice quality. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised when this little gem arrived in the mail! If you’re in need of a cheap, but good quality lightweight headset, you can’t get any better than this. The sound quality is not as good as my last headset, or the $50 Sony earbuds that I use while listening to my mp3 player, but it is still pretty good. The bass quality is what surprised me the most; it is very good. The microphone quality seems to be pretty good; I have not have any complaints, only comments that I “sound different.” I like that this headset has a volume control on the cord. I think that it could use a mute button for the microphone too, but that’s just me. By the way, this is NOT a USB headset; it plugs into your audio jacks. Just in case anyone was unaware.
Overall this was a great purchase and I am quite satisfied!
